SILVERBURN

Silverburn represents a £350m retail led Pollok town centre regeneration project located on the southern edge of Glasgow city. Opening in October 2007 Silverburn was the first in the next generation or regional retail destinations. 

JMA were part of the vision for Silverburn by creating the brand, marketing and retail strategy to support the quality environment, retailer mix, and the sense of place that has secured Silverburn’s role as a primary shopping destination within the central belt of Scotland. 

Working through from launch, JMA has continued to deliver innovative strategies, budgeted plans and integrated communication programmes that have seen Silverburn add year on year growth, and maintain its best in class mantle even through challenging trading conditions. 

The JMA work for Silverburn has also been recognised by their Industry peers earning the development many awards, most notably a BCSC Gold Award for excellence and two BCSC Purple Apples.

EBAY- FASHION Outlet

When a background in retail marketing, fashion brands and outlet shopping was required, JMA were a natural fit! 

JMA worked with eBay to launch and develop its new and hugely successful FASHION Outlet proposition for the site. Tasked with offering strategic support, selecting key products and brands for the outlet, managing pricing information and images, tracking performance and submitting merchandise selection reports, JMA has helped shape the site and drive its strong sales results. 

Having seen the results from the UK and more recently Germany, eBay has decided to take the Outlet concept to other global markets. JMA is continuing to play a part of the Ebay outlet team and is proud to have been part of the development and success of the eBay FASHION Outlet.

THE ROYAL HIGHLAND SHOW

Each year thousands of people flock to the Royal Highland Show to see, taste and experience the very best of Scottish food, farming and countryside. For four days in June and over 280 acres, the finest farmyard animals share centre stage with Scotland’s bountiful larder, spectacular show jumping, countryside pursuits, educational workshops, entertainment, shopping and a host of business opportunities. 

JMA were appointed to develop a marketing strategy, create communication plans and implement annual activity securing attention from consumers, farmers and agri-food organisations alike. 

Under JMA's guidance the Show was affirmed as Scotland’s biggest outdoor event attracting around 190,000 people and took its place as one of Europe’s leading agri-food business shows. It now contributes almost £100 million to the Scottish economy each year, proving the Royal Highland Show is more than just a great day out.

The tourism sector is of vital importance to the Scottish economy - figures indicate total overnight and day visitor expenditure in Scotland was around £9 billion in  this comprised of expenditure from overnight visitors of £4.6 billion and expenditure by day visitors of £4.6 billion. Spending by tourists in Scotland generates £10 billion of economic activity in the representing just under 5% of total Scottish GDP.

AKMC

Since their formation in 1995 AKMC, the property arm of the King Faisal Foundation, have been at the forefront of commercial property development and management. Setting ground breaking development and operational regional property trends. AKMC were the first to introduce major shopping malls and five star hotels  to the Saudi market.

JMA were appointed to undertake development of a corporate communication strategy and the development of an umbrella brand for AKMC prior to their IPO on the Saudi Stock Exchange. 

THE TAILOR RETAILORED

The Scottish textile industry has a reputation around the world for its quality, diversity and design excellence and in the creation of globally recognised products and brands, such as Scottish Cashmere and Harris Tweed.

The Tailor Retailored are a luxury mens cashmere knitwear workroom, Their aim is simple: to provide only the very best, luxury Scottish cashmere knitwear for today’s man. Designing and creating limited edition men's cashmere jumpers in small runs of between 20 - 100.   

EDINBURGH TECHNOPOLE

Edinburgh Technopole is a joint venture between the University of Edinburgh and Grosvenor, which is actively developing a science park of world standing close to the city of Edinburgh. Based on a site with one hundred and twenty-six acres of rolling parkland and located at the heart of a cluster of internationally recognised  research institutions, Edinburgh Technopole provides the infrastructure and backdrop for up to 500,000 sq ft (46,450 sq m) of high quality buildings designed to meet the flexible office and laboratory needs of research and technology based companies.

JMA Associates were appointed to refresh the branding and develop a marketing and communication strategy that placed Edinburgh Technopole in an international framework and as a player in the World class cluster of Science parks.
